pyxta: the right answer, not just a good one
AI is good at work with many acceptable answers, like drafting a letter or summarising a report. The reports and checks a business runs on have one right answer, and what makes an answer right is rarely written down: it sits with the people who do the work. Ask an AI tool the same question twice and you can get two different answers.
Pyxta is the platform Beljay Labs builds on. It keeps your team's definition of the right answer and hands it to the AI at every step, so the AI isn't left to decide for itself.
one check, start to finish
Take bills paid twice. Which bills count as duplicates? The same supplier and amount a few days apart, yes. The weekly rent, which looks exactly like that and is meant to, no. That rule is usually written down nowhere; your finance lead just knows it.
- The rule becomes a definition. Pyxta holds it as a definition the system runs, and the check runs from that definition.
- Every flag has its evidence. Each bill the check flags opens to the records behind it.
- A person reviews the result. Your finance lead reads it as she would a colleague's work. If it's right, it stands.
- A correction changes the definition. If the rent has been flagged, she corrects it. Her correction updates the definition, and from then on every run uses the corrected version, no matter who starts it.
- The knowledge stays. The definition is still there when she moves on.
The free business health scan looks for possible duplicate bills in your own Xero file, and doesn't flag regular payments like the weekly rent.
where the AI fits
The AI does the reading and the applying: it works through your records and documents and applies the definition to them. What it doesn't do is decide what a duplicate is. It is handed the definition at every step, and the same definition reaches it whoever asks and whenever they ask.
Two things keep it in check. A definition only takes effect once a person adopts it, and it only changes through a correction someone reviewed and can undo. And a person reviews every result.
We don't sell the AI. The work can be done by any capable AI model, and moving to a different one means teaching it nothing again.
every figure has a trail
Every figure opens to the records it came from. Every decision leaves a trail, built from what was recorded at each step rather than written up by the AI afterwards, so a question from your auditor next year still has an answer.
works from what you already have
Pyxta reads the exports and documents you already produce: Xero data, CSV and other exports, and PDFs such as invoices and contracts. There is nothing to integrate, your systems stay as they are, and Xero is reached through a read-only data connection.
two uses, ready-made
Carbon reporting and business health checks are two uses of the platform, set up in advance for growing businesses.
